Colonias program staff in three regional offices partner with a wide variety of public and private agencies to provide literacy and job training, health education, economic and community development and many additional services for colonias residents.
Because of their remote locations, poor economic conditions and cultural segregation, colonias residents tend to be isolated from government services and various public and private social safety nets that provide education, job training and placement, health care, and programs for the young and elderly.
